What we collect
When you ask for the free sheet: your first name and email address, and a record of when and where you signed up.
When you buy: your name, email address, billing details such as ZIP code and country, and what you bought. Stripe processes the payment. We never see or store your full card number.
When you message us on Instagram or Facebook: your name and profile handle as Meta shares them, and the messages you send.
When you email us: whatever you choose to include in your message.
Automatically, when you visit: basic technical information such as your IP address, browser, device, the pages you visit and how you got to the site. This comes from cookies and similar tools that our website platform needs to run the site.
What we never collect
Anything you write in your file. The Kitchen Drawer File is a PDF on your own device or on paper. It has no forms that send data and no scripts. We never receive what you put in it.
How we use your information
- To send what you asked for, like the free sheet or your purchase
- To send receipts, download links and answers to your questions
- To send our short series of emails about getting organized, if you signed up
- To process refunds and prevent fraud
- To understand which pages work, and improve them
- To keep the tax and business records we're required to keep
Emails
When you ask for the free sheet, we email it to you and start a short series of emails, one small page a night for five evenings, some of which mention our paid files. Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link at the bottom, and unsubscribing takes one click. After you unsubscribe, you may still get emails about an order you placed, like a download link or a refund confirmation.
Our automated assistant
The assistant that answers messages on Instagram and Facebook is automated AI, and it says so at the start of every conversation. Your messages are stored and processed by our service providers so the assistant can answer and our team can follow up. Ask for a person anytime.
Who we share it with
We share information only with the service providers that help us run the business:
- HighLevel (LeadConnector): our website, sign-up forms, contact records, email sending and messaging assistant
- Stripe: payments and fraud screening
- Meta (Instagram and Facebook): when you message or comment on our accounts
- The AI provider used by our messaging platform: to write the assistant's replies
Each of them handles data under its own terms and privacy policy. We may also share information if the law requires it, to protect our rights, or as part of selling the business.
Cookies, tracking and Do Not Track
Our site uses only the cookies and similar tools our website platform needs to run it. We don't use the Meta Pixel or other advertising trackers, and no third party collects information about you across other websites through our site. Because we don't track you across sites, our site doesn't change how it works when your browser sends a Do Not Track signal.
If we ever add advertising tools, we'll update this policy first, show a notice on the pages where they run and give you a way to opt out.
We don't sell your personal information
We don't sell or share your name, email, messages or purchase details for anyone else's advertising.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us to:
- Tell you what personal information we have about you, and send you a copy
- Correct it
- Delete it
Email help@kitchendrawerfile.com from the address we have for you. We may need to confirm it's you first. You can also have an authorized agent contact us for you. We'll answer as soon as we can and within the time the law allows. We offer these choices to anyone who asks, wherever they live in the US.
How long we keep it
We keep order records for as long as we need them for tax and accounting. We keep your email address until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it. We keep messages and sign-up records for as long as we email you or need them to help you.
Security and where it's stored
Your information is stored and processed in the United States by our service providers. We use established providers and take reasonable steps to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure, so we can't promise that information will never be accessed without permission.
Children
Our site and products are meant for adults and aren't directed to children. We don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you think a child has given us information, email us and we'll delete it.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page. If a change is significant, we'll also email the people on our list before it takes effect.
